Uncle Jerry paid us a surprise visit on his way to Mexico for work. He brought some good luck with him as we savored Louisville’s last second buzzer-beater victory over Marquette. The following day we took the girls and Uncle Jerry on a beautiful hike down Aliso Peak path located in Laguna Niguel.

We were greeted by great news from my Aunt Jennifer of a new baby arrival from our cousin Mac and his wife, Ashley. It’s hard to believe Mac is now a father. Seems like only yesterday my brother Jerry, cousin Chris (Mac’s older brother) and myself were crammed in the back of Jennifer and Danny’s Ford Mustang headed 17 hours south to Disneyland from Louisville (this was actually 29 years ago!) . Little Mac, who was only 3 years old at the time, sat on the hump in the middle of the car for the entire trip. Fortunately for me, Mac could never finish his meals at Denny’s, so after I ran out of cash I proceeded to finish his plate. I was falsely accused of stealing Mac’s tootsie-rolls on that trip as well…something on which I still maintain my innocense
