In the beginning, there was John Eric Barnes (actually, Stacey Smith came before Eric Barnes as she’s three months older:). Then, on a random Tuesday night in January 1991- at the Bear Bar in New York City – Eric met the beautiful Stacey Smith. They dated for many years before marrying on September 23, 1995. In 1998, the Barnes set a course for Southern California and left New York City behind. A quick detour led them to Aliso Viejo in Orange County, California in 1999 and little did they know such big changes were in store. Eric took a new job, together Eric and Stacey bought their first house, and within weeks began to expect the arrival of their first child. On March 9, 2000, Mallory Diane Barnes greeted the world. Only three years later, on March 28, 2003, Nathalie O’Bryan Barnes joined the team as the fourth and final member of the Barnes Family.

Oh, Eric, this is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so glad you did this. I hope it will encourage your other siblings to take up the challenge. Obviously it’s out of mine and Dad’s league, but we can certainly enjoy it.

Eric, you have done a great job! It was very entertaining and brought back a lot of memories. Everytime I see old pictures of family I laugh, man you have got to love the glasses and hairdo’s. I hope you and the girls are doing well, we hope to come out to Cali next year. Morgan is relentless, she won’t give up until she gets to come out and see the OC.
